FAQ's
How many VI Peel treatments are needed to see results?
While you should see awesome results as early as a week, a series of treatments is highly recommended for optimal results. The number of treatments for each client vary, however it is common for a minimum of three peels for optimal results. Peels are generally spaced out every 4-6 weeks.
Is there anything I need to avoid before a chemical peel?
You should not be in direct sun or a tanning booth for two weeks prior to a VI Peel. Think of our peel like a sunburn, you do not want to apply it on top of an existing burn. You should also avoid utilizing chemical hair removal products or waxing your skin 5-7 days before treatment.
What is the downtime after a VI Peel?
Clients may experience light peeling for the first few days with heaviest peeling around days 3-7. Slight itchiness may occur and is completely normal, our post-peel soothing cream will help. Most people do not need to take time off of work, if peel is scheduled on a Wednesday, typically the worst of the peeling will be experienced over the weekend.
What if I don't experience peeling?
While peeling can be common, everyone experiences different levels of peeling. Typically, the deeper the peel you receive, the more extensive peeling you will experience. However, if no peeling, rest assured that a chemical exfoliation is occuring that is not visible.
